Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bergeron Rogers; daughters, Mary Thomas and husband, Keith, Janice Yantis and husband, Brent, and Lori Rogers; grandchildren, Sawyer Thomas and husband, Trevor, Lawrence Yantis and wife, Amanda, Reed Thomas and wife, Jordan, Samantha Yantis and Jarred Yantis; great- grandchild, Claire Thomas; sisters, Shirley Arceneaux, Deloris Kraemer and Doris Songe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evest and Anaise Rogers; brothers, Julius Rogers, Norman Rogers and Elgin Rogers; and a sister, Rita Landry. He was a 30 year employee of Schlumberger Oil Field Service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He proudly served his country as Airman Second Class in the U.S. Air Force. He loved his Lord and his Family. Music and singing were his passion. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His winning smile and happy personality won the hearts of all who met him.
