Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1301.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Francis August Smith Sr., 87, a native of St. Louis, Mo., and resident of Houma, died at 9:32 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Annunziata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fenton Smith; one son, Francis Smith Jr. and wife, Maria Duplantis Smith; daughters, Cynthia Smith Farrell and husband, John Farrell, Margaret Smith Eschete and husband, Dean Eschete, and Maria Regina Smith; sister, Pamela Smith Zavadil; six grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Smith and Augusta Eichorn Smith; two sisters; four brothers; and a granddaughter, Amelia Eschete. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church were he was active as a choir member and lector. He was an employee of Otis Engineering for 35 years until his retirement. He was also active in the community with Le Petit Theater and was a volunteer for many years at Project Learn. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater for his loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the American Heart Association or the Leukemia Society. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements ======================
