Hank Jared Verdin, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. 
Visitation will also be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the 
funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 

with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Hank Junius and Donna Parfait Verdin of Dulac; 
sisters, Cheramie Verdin Bowman and companion, Tim Aucoin, of Morgan City, and 
Cheralyn Monique Verdin and fiance, Kenyon Jenkins, of Houma; nephews, Jonathon 
Naquin Jr. and Avery Verdin; nieces Sage Marie Bowman and Mia Jade Bowman and 
their father, Pat Bowman; grandfather, Joseph Kirvin Parfait; and many aunts, 
uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evans Verdin Jr. and Esther 
Verrett Verdin; grandmother, Ouida Ernestine Parfait; aunts, Patricia Verdin 
and Valerie Ann Parfait; and uncle, Robert Verdin.

He was employed by Cox Operating.

He enjoyed spending time camping, canoeing, fishing, playing cards, playing and 
listening to music and watching the Saints ball games with his family and 
friends.

He was a good-hearted man with a great sense of humor.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
