Joyce Sampey Adams, 81, a native of Gheens and resident of Raceland, died at 
6:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in 
Raceland. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. 
Mary's Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 
a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Church cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her husband, Lester P. Adams; son, Jody Adams and wife, Mary 
Jo; daughters, Connie Chiasson and husband, Dennis, and Moraine Griffin and 
husband, Rhett; sister, Annirie Richoux; six grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Venice and Lelia Sampey.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
