Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Augusta, Ga., with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Bush of Evans; son, Ernest (Shari Johnson) Benton-David Bahm of Buford, Ga.; two grandchildren, Kyle Carmichael of Grovetown, Ga., and Thea (Jeramy) Barry, of Grovetown, Ga.; and two sisters, Sally Mazur of Las Vegas, Nev., and Wanda Gros, of Houma. She was preceded in death by her husband, SFC (Retired) Dallas E. Bahm; daughter, Elle Melanie; her parents; and two brothers. Ethel was a native of Houma. She attended public schools and graduated from Spencer Business College in New Orleans. She wrote articles for the Southern Cross (Savannah Diocesan Catholic Weekly) and genealogy articles for various Southern Louisiana publications. Mrs. Bahm was a retired civilian servant serving as Secretary to Chief of the Department of Medicine at Eisenhower Medical Center. She was a communicant of the St. Joseph Church and a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She was a Honary Regent of the Augusta Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and the George Walton Chapter Daughter of American Colonists, and a former member of the Army Woman's Club, Richmond County, Genealogical Society and Senior Friends. She was a longtime volunteer with the VA hospital, Gracewood State Hospital and Catholic Social Services. She was a past vice-president and recording secretary for the Savannah Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and president of the Augusta Deanery Council of Catholic Women. She was also a past vice-president of the Louisiana Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs and president of the local Chapter in Houma. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Father Doris and Father Ring Scholarship Fund, St. Joseph Catholic Church or to any charity. Elliott Sons Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga., is in charge of arrangements. ======================
