Mitchell Andress Basco Jr., 48, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:15 
a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Houma. 
Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at the church. 
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Maxwell of Houma; sons, Holden Basco and 
Mitchell Basco III of Houma; brothers, Jamie Basco and Andre Basco, both of 
Houma; sister, Janice Basco of Gilroy, Calif.; and niece and nephew, Ashley 
Kyle and Kevin Kyle, both of Gilroy, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Basco Sr.; and brother, Keith 
Basco.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
