Emma Burel Hadley, 76, a native and resident of Raceland, died Thursday, Jan. 
31, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Morning Star 
Baptist Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the 
church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Hadley Jr.; two sons, Dwight (Deidre) 
Burel and Darrick (Corrippia) Burel; daughter, Sharon Burel-Hawthorne; sister, 
Cora Burel Putman; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Mahoney Vance and Oliver Burel; 
one brother, Thomas Vance; one sister, Laura Vance; brother-in-law, Earnest 
Putman; and sister-in-law, Berniece Vance.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
