Janice Savoie Martinez, 74, a native of Larose and resident of Thibodaux for 54 
years, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Genevieve 
Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. 
Friday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her husband, Charles V. Martinez; sons, Todd Martinez and 
Troy Martinez and wife, Melissa; sisters, Ruth S. Toups and husband, Anson, and 
Judy S. Prejeant; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Himel and Eldred Durocher; brothers-
in-law, Dennis Martinez and Gerald Martinez and wife, Josephine; grandchildren, 
Charli, Blake, Jack, Christian, and Liam Martinez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine and Bernice Pere Savoie; 
daughter; Tina Martinez Gentry; sister, Susan Savoie; and mother and father-in-
law, Whitney and Olympe Martinez.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
