Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Paincourtville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Pilgrim Baptist Church cemetery in Paincourtville. He is survived by his wife, Caldonia Nicholas of Paincourtville; daughter, Linda Nicholas of Antioch, Tenn.; sons, Alton Nicholas Jr. of Plaquemine, William Joseph (Thomasine) Nicholas of Georgia, Chester C. Nicholas of Pittsburg, Calif., Stevenson C. Nicholas of Aurora, Colo., Victor (Phyllis) Nicholas of Thibodaux, and Ray M. Nicholas of Paincourtville; sisters, Celina Johnson of Georgia, Mercedes Reynolds of Baton Rouge, and Lillie Bea Oneida of Donaldsonville; brother, Herbert Williams of Chicago, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Nicholas; brother, the Rev. Alvin Wesley, Lowney Nicholas, Lawrence Nicholas, and Albert, Percy and Alfred Williams. Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements. ======================
