Philip Smith, 69, a native and resident of Raceland, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 
2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his brother, Monroe (Carol) Smith; and five sisters, Lenora 
(Melvin) Smith, Viola Rushing, Audrey (Lawrence) Jones, Ola Brown and Barbara 
(Nolan) Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Sr. and Leola Smith; brother, 
Leroy Smith; and two sisters, Rose Nell Smith and Mary Louise Thomas.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
