Arthur "Black" Allemond, Jr., 72, a native and resident of Bourg, died 
Thursday, March 21, 2013.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home 
in Houma. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. 

Cremation will follow the service.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Ann Pitre Allemond; sons: Miguel 
Allemond and Dean Allemond and wife, Regina Dugas Allemond; grandchildren, Beth 
Ann Allemond, Dean Patrick Allemond Jr. and wife, Heather LeCompte Allemond, 
and Laynee Lyn Allemond; and one great-granddaughter on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. Allemond Sr. and Rose 
Gauthreaux Allemond; and sister, Juliette Allemond Kertz.

The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Henry and his staff, the staff at 
Terrebonne General Medical Center and the staff at The Oaks of Houma for all 
the special care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time are 
appreciated.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
