Sonjia Richard Berthelot, 67, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Thibodaux, was called home to the Lord, Wednesday March 20, 2013. 

She was born Sept. 23, 1945.

A memorial service will be from 8:15 a.m. until funeral time Monday at 
Thibodaux Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
funeral home, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Lester "Bert" "Jimmy" 
Berthelot; two wonderful daughters, Meredith B. Clifton and Abbey B. Richard 
and husband, David Jr.; three sweet and adorable grandchildren, Brady Clifton, 
Hailey Bergeron, and Emma Richard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay P. Richard and Joyceline Himel 
Richard; a brother, Bruce Richard; and a nephew.

Sonjia retired from Thibodaux Lumber after 42 years of dedicated service.
She will be remembered by most people as a wonderful caring person, but to her 
family she will always be a loving wife, mother and grandmother!

The family would like to thank the staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center 
for the care provided during Sonjia's last days.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
