She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years and the love of her life, Henry Joseph Boudreaux; parents, Oscar Larousse and Regina Boudreaux Larousse; daughter, Jeanne B. Carrere; son-in-law, Leonard "Nin" Carrere; brother, Edward Larousse; sisters, Edna L. Wainwright and Onorine Larousse; and nephew, Byron Wainwright. She graduated from St. Charles Community High School in 1931 and received a college scholarship. Afterwards, she came to Dulac and began her lifelong mission of helping those who could not read or write, and took care of those who were sick and in need. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society for over 70 years. She expressed great pride in being a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Dulac. She was known most of her life as Memeré to her family and those who were blessed to know her. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and going to the casino with her daughter and granddaughters. She especially loved the numerous family gatherings. Blessed with good health throughout her life, she treasured surviving to celebrate her 100th birthday, which she enjoyed surrounded by family and friends. She was honored to be presented with a proclamation and a key to the city, presented to her by Parish President Michel H. Claudet, Parish Councilman, District 6, Russell Hornsby and Parish Councilwoman, District 4, Beryl Amedee. She will be deeply missed and leaves us with a lifetime of precious wisdom and priceless memories. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
