Roy John Brunet, 70, a native of Houma and resident of Gray, died at 3:30 p.m. 
Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 
a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian 
burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church cemetery.

He is survived by his son, John Paul Brunet and wife, Amy Brunet, of Bourg; 
daughter, Darnell Marie Brunet of Houma; companion, Leverne Boudwin; 
grandchildren, Mariah Brunet, Kasem Hebert and Annick Neathery; brothers, Earl, 
Richard, L.J., and Carol Brunet; and sisters, Shirley Rodrigue and Meola 
Cunningham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Brunet and Missie Callahan 
Brunet; sister, Thelma Carlos; and brothers, Sylvain, Luby, Wilson and Allen 
Brunet.

He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing poker machines.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
