Fernand Domingo Cavalier, 102, a native of Pierre Part and resident of 
Schriever, died Sunday, March 17, 2013. 
He was born June 25, 1910.

Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral Home in 
Thibodaux, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Bridget Catholic 
Church in Schriever. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, 

with burial in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Paincourtville.

He is survived by his sons, Jerome Cavalier and wife, Geraldine, Jessie 
Cavalier and wife, Betty, Pete Cavalier and wife, Charlene, Charles Cavalier 
and wife, Anita, and Gary Cavalier and wife, Sheila; daughters, Rosemary Besson 
and Lucy Birchfield and husband, Bobby; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-
grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Emily Simoneaux Cavalier; 
parents, Lucien Cavalier and Osilia Albarado Cavalier; son, David Cavalier; 
daughters, Agnes Circello and Gladys Cavalier; 11 brothers; two sisters; and 
sons-in-law, Andrew Besson, Benny Circello and Lloyd Landry.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Southern Care Hospice.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
