Delaune, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, after a four year battle with cancer. Todd was at the young age of 46 and lived life to the fullest. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Holy Savior Catholic Church cemetery in Lockport. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Rachel Chaisson Delaune, who was always by his side; and his dedicated and loving daughter, Raven Renee Delaune, who was the light of his life. He was the beloved son of Jessie Jr. and Dolores Richoux Delaune; brother of Lisa Delaune Babin and husband, Neil, and Christy Delaune Loupe and husband, Louis Jr. He had many dedicated and caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Todd was the son-in-law of Anthony "Beatnik" and Vicki Chaisson; and godfather of Kimberly Babin, Brooke Loupe Foret and Devin Delaune. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Whitney and Anna Mae Richoux, Jessie Sr. and Leona Delaune; brother, Chad Delaune; and nephew, Jacob Chaisson whom he loved and always treated like a son. Todd was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved coaching girls softball. He was a member of Cajun Hawg Hunters and Fishing Club. He will be remembered for his generous heart, never-ending smile and willingness to help anytime someone needed him. He will be missed by many. The family would like to extend their thanks to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Southern Care Hospice, especially Joycelyn Lofton who was an angel and a blessing to have at his side. As per Todd's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his wife and daughter for funeral expenses. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
