Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Malcolm "Mac" Foret, 81, a native of Lafourche Parish and lifelong resident of Raceland, died at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Uda Mae Blanchard Foret; sons, Timothy and wife, April, and Troy and companion, Cindy; daughters, Teresa "Tessie" Daigle and husband, Darrel, and Trudy Barrios and husband, Dean; grandchildren, Jake, Blake, Jude, Ariel and Ashlyn; great-grandchild, Joslyn; and brothers, Stanley Foret and wife, Meryl, and Dudley Foret and wife, Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anatole and Alice Matherne Foret; brother, Wilton Foret; sisters, Thelma Guidry, Louise Gautreaux, Earline Cheramie and Audrey Foret. He was a child of God and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an educator, assistant principal and principal over a span of 33 years for the Lafourche Parish School Board. He loved his job and loved being with the students. He was very active in his Catholic faith and church parish. He was a Fourth Degree charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4761. In recognition of his services to the church, the Archdiocese of Houma- Thibodaux honored him with the Bishop's Medal in 1991. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family.
