Garibaldi, 88, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his son, Wayne Garibaldi and wife, Linda; daughter, Dana Henry; grandchildren, Dawn Bernard and husband, Randy, Barry Garibaldi, Alex Garibaldi, Joshua Ronquillo and fiancee, Kari Stitzer, and Tony Ronquillo and wife, Cara; great-grandchildren, Sarah Bernard, Spencer Bernard, Olivia and Madison Stitzer, and Bella and Beck Ronquillo; sisters, Mary Gautreaux and Judy Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Falgout Garibaldi; parents, Antoine Garibaldi and Jean Constrantiche Garibaldi; sisters, Della Crochet, Dorena Orgeron, Manerva Blanchard, Corrine Gautreaux, Mildred Boyd and Molly Ledet; and brother, Albert Garibaldi. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received numerous medals including the Purple Heart. He was a retired boat captain from L.L. and E., an avid sportsman and a commercial fisherman. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
