Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anna Camp Garrison; son, Robert Paul Garrison; daughter, Dee Anna Lottinger and husband, John; three grandchildren, Hannah Garrison, Christopher Lottinger and Claire Lottinger; sister, Brenda Sue Alford and husband, Gary; and many other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Bliss Garrison and Elsie Luke Garrison Asch. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, growing vegetables, helping others and playing with his grandchildren. He was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. The lives that he touched are uncountable. He was widely recognized as an expert in sugarcane variety development. He helped release over 20 varieties, which has helped the industry to thrive. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
