He was a native of Gretna and a resident of Houma, for the last 35 years. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Hotard and Natalie Hotard Lapeyrouse; son-in-law, Lance Lapeyrouse; granddaughter, Jane Adele Lapeyrouse; mother, Kathryn Wright Hotard; brothers, Warren O. (Patricia) Hotard Jr. and Edward W. (Vida) Hotard; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren O. Hotard Jr. He was born on Jan. 25, 1955, to his parents, Warren O. Hotard Jr. of Gretna and Kathryn Wright Hotard of New Orleans. He graduated from West Jefferson High School and received a bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University. He was married for 33 years to Melanie Schoen Hotard. He worked for Trapp Chevrolet for 35 years. The family would like to thank the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Terrebonne General Medical Center and Trapp Cadillac Chevrolet. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
