Daisy Grant Jackson, 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, 
died at 12:35 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Sunlight Baptist 
Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Raynoble, Roy (Ann Marie) and the Rev. Terryl 
(Jewelhelene) Jackson; daughters, Marvalis Diane (Ernest) Hall, Vanester J. 
Lagarde and Berryl J. (Patrick) Merrill; brothers, McKinley Grant, Ambrose 
(Clara), Edward Charles (Sherry) and Sterling (Gaydell) Nixon; 27 
grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Southern Jackson Jr.; and parents, 
McKinley Grant Sr. and Rose Navarre Nixon.

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
