Essie Louise Robinson Johnson, 81, a native of Raceland and resident of 
Thibodaux, died Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Mount Zion 
Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at 
the church, 

with burial in Brooklyn Lane Cemetery in Raceland.

She is survived by her sons, Clarence L. (Connie) Johnson Jr., Perry L. (Dawn) 
Johnson, and Carl J. (Cynthia) Johnson; brothers, Granville, Phillip (Essie), 
Clarence (Maxine), Wilbert (Carol) and George (Shirley) Robinson; sisters, 
Delores Robinson Kennedy and Enez Robinson (Alvin) Johnson; six grandchildren; 
and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Johnson Sr.; and parents, 
Granville and Ethel Boyd Robinson.

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
