Barbara Fonseca LaPorte, 76, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:45 a.m. 
Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral 
Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 

with a private burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Dan LaPorte and fiancee, Dawn Landry, of Houma, 
and Joe LaPorte and wife, Dee Ann, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, 
Katelyn Landry and Spencer LaPorte; mother, Veronica Picone Fonseca; and 
brother, David Fonseca.

She was preceded in death by her father, Teles Fonseca; and son, Blake "Tony" 
LaPorte.

She enjoyed fishing, reading and dancing.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
