Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at First Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in First Israel Baptist Church in cemetery Belle Rose. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria (Lawrence) Massenberg of St. Louis, Mo., Barbara (James) Haggenmiller of Jersey City, N.J., and Cassandra Mitchell of Belle Rose; sons, Curtis (Joann) Mitchell of Jersey City, N.J., and Marvin Mitchell of Baton Rouge; sisters, Gertrude Powell and Bernice (Lawrence) Wilson of New Orleans, and Lucille (Walter) Magee of Belle Rose; brother, Royal (Robin) Reed of Marrero; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Mitchell Jr.; parents, Arthur Sr. and Lizzie Reed; daughter, Yvonne Batiste; sisters, Warnetta Cola, Emelda Gooden and Wilhelmena Williams; and brothers, Lawrence, Clifford, Arthur, James and Joseph Reed. Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements. ======================
