Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Myron Joseph Rhodes, 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Soudelier Rhodes; son, Kevin Rhodes; daughters, Diane and husband, Timothy Fournier, and Sheila and husband, John Emerson; brothers, Leroy and wife, Gail, Michael and wife, Patti, Murphy and wife, Kathleen, and Bobby and wife, Sherlyn Rhodes; sister-in-law, Phyllis Rhodes; and 10 grandchildren, Michele and husband, Brad Pellegrin, Angele and husband, John Poiencot, Nicole and husband, Scott Kraemer, Chad and wife, Lauren Rhodes, Ashley and husband, Matt Gordan, Whitney and Jeremy Rhodes, and Joshua, Nicholas and Bridget Deroche; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Ella Price Rhodes; son, Byron Rhodes; father-in-law, William Soudelier; mother-in-law, Agnes Soudelier; brothers, Lloyd and wife, Eula, and Kenneth Rhodes; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Picou, beloved mother of Chad Rhodes. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Shirley Bergeron for administering weekly communion for the past 1 1/2 years and to Deborah Eskind, a niece who was with the family each day for the past 12 days during Myron's hospital stay at Terrebonne General. Thanks goes to the staff of Terrebonne General for their compassion and care, Haydel Hospice and Statt Home Care. Thanks also goes to Bobby Rhodes, Pat and Kathleen, and sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends who visited each day. Myron was a loving and humble man who enjoyed fishing, playing piano and building small boats. He believed in God, and the family knows he is with God. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
