John Patrick Rushing, 53, a native of New Iberia, and resident of Chauvin, died 
at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. 
Funeral services were at noon. Friday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery in Houma.

He is survived by his companion, Paulette LeJeune; brother, Kenneth M. Rushing; 
sister, Melanie Rushing Rodrigue and husband, Ricky; and sister-in-law, Debbie 
Rushing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Edward Rushing and Theresa 
Gautreaux Rushing; brother, Wayne C. Rushing; and sister, Lisa Rae Callahan.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
