Usé Jr., 87, a native of Raceland, former resident of Houma, and resident of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully at 2 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, due to complications from Parkinson's disease and pneumonia. A memorial service will be Saturday at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound/Lewisville, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Claire Booth; son, Charles III and wife, Becky; grandson, Charles IV and wife, Hope, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Kelley of Virginia; great-grandchild, Aubrey; brothers, Wade, from Houma, and Clark, of Raceland; and sister, Ruby, of Mandeville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frazine Bourgeois Usé; sisters, Lola Van Scoter and Juanita Claudel; brothers, Ray and Luke. Charles was a graduate of Raceland High School and served in the U.S. Navy. After he attained a degree from LSU, he taught school in Lafourche Parish. He worked with a seismograph crew in Jasper, Texas, before becoming a State Farm agent in Nederland, Texas. The family would like to extend their thanks to his caretakers with Accolade Hospice Foundation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Accolade Hospice Foundation, 308 E. Renfro Suite 202, Burleson, Texas, 76208. DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas, is in charge of arrangements. ======================
