Gerald "Jerry" P. Walker, 78, a native and resident of Larose, died Thursday, 
March 7, 2013.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. until funeral time today at Our Lady of the Rosary 
Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m. today 
at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in Larose. 
The celebrant will be Gerald's godchild, the Rev. Dean Danos.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Katherine M. Walker; sons, Jarad P. 
Walker and wife, Lauren Walker, Robbie A. Lee and fiancee, Lori Grammer; 
grandchildren, Robbie Lee Jr., Dusty Lee, Gilbert Lee, Elissa Cheramie and 
Elyse Walker; siblings, Gloria Walker and Bertha Walker Allemand; sister-in-
law, Rena P. Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Walker Sr. and Evelyn Orgeron 
Walker; brothers, Stanley and Alcide Walker Jr.; and sisters, Clara Belle 
Walker Danos, Marjorie Walker Rogers and Rose Mae Walker Breaux.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose and 
was employed for 27 years at Lumcon.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
