Nell Bergeron Aston, 72, a native of Houma and resident of Bourg, died Tuesday, 
April 9, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m.Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and 
from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. A 
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by her son, Thomas M. Aston Jr. and wife, Gena Cunningham 
Aston; brothers, Nolan J. Bergeron Jr. and wife, Mary Aston Bergeron and Pete 
Bergeron and companion, Debbie Bergeron; sister, Jean B. Babin and husband, 
Glen Babin; grandchildren, Christopher Aston and wife, Suzanne Olivier Aston, 
Todd Aston and wife, Hailey Stringer Aston, and Beau Aston; great-
grandchildren, Dane Paul Aston, Morgan Claire Aston and Ali Grace Aston; niece 
and caregiver, Toby Boudloche Dardar; best friend and daily confidant, Joann 
Belanger; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Aston Sr.; son, Daniel 
Michael Aston; parents, Nolan Bergeron Sr. and Daisy Vidal Bergeron; brothers, 
Eddie "White" Bergeron and Ned Bergeron; and sister, Judy Bergeron Boudloche.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was a darling and caring person, and always put others before herself. She 
enjoyed spending time with her family. They will especially miss her wonderful 
cooking. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she has gone on to join her 
husband and son in heaven, and she can now enjoy cooking for them again.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
