Shirley Babin Bourgeois, 83, native of White Castle, La. and resident of 
Thibodaux, died Friday, April 12, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Charles 
Borromeo Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux, 

with burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Calvin J. Bourgeois Sr.; son, 
Calvin Bourgeois Jr. and wife, Rosie; daughters Barbara Naquin and husband, 
Gary, and Elaine Leray and husband, Glenn; brothers, Nolan, Norman, James, 
Linwood, and Walter Babin Jr.; and two grandchildren, Daphne Leray and Glenn 
Leray Jr.

She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Bourgeois; daughter, Sandra 
Bourgeois; brothers, Blaise, Horace and Simon Babin; and sister, Margaret 
Chiasson.

She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a member of 
the Ladies Altar Society. 
She was a member of the V.F.W. Lady's Auxiliary.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
