Breaux Sr., 89, a native of Bayou Gauche, and resident of Gheens, and a former resident of Raceland, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at United Memorial Methodist Church in Mathews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Barrios Cemetery in Valentine. He is survived by his sons, Morris Griffin and wife, Cathi, Michael Breaux and wife, Marie, and Stan Breaux Jr. and wife, Ruth; daughters, Patsy Ford and husband, Gerald, Joyce Chauvin, Marylyn "Mary" Legendre and husband, Keith, Carolyn Toups and husband, Reed, Debra "Debbie" Terrebonne and husband, Chet, and Angie Pertuit and husband, Tommy; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie E. Porche Breaux; parents, Joseph and Bertha Matherne Breaux; son-in-law, Buddy Chauvin; brothers, Irby, Noah, Alex and Earl Breaux; sister, Anna Matherne; and grandchildren, Randy Chauvin and Thomas Paul Toups. He was an avid fan of Central Lafourche High School, LSU and the Saints. He was a member of the American Legion and a past president of the V.F.W. Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
