Nolan Joseph Brunet, Jr., 50, a native of Terrebonne Parish, and resident of 
Raceland, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Annette Songe; good friend, Cheryl Matherne; 
father, Nolan Joseph Brunet Sr.; sons, Brent, Brad and wife, Amanda, and Brian 
Brunet and wife, Erica; daughters, Tessie Brunet and D.J. Theriot, and Mandy 
Brunet and Dustin Pitre; brothers, Tim, Dan, David and Peter Brunet; sisters, 
Carolyn Liner, JoAnna Brunet, Sandy Brunet, Susan Molaison, and Peggy Brunet; 
and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Adalene Scott Brunet; and son, Chad 
Brunet.

He was a loving father and "Pe Paw," who loved fishing and his swamp pop music. 
His favorite quotes were "And how," "Buck-A-Roo" and "What the what."

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samart Funeral Home to 
help with funeral expenses.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
