Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his ex-wife, Annette Songe; good friend, Cheryl Matherne; father, Nolan Joseph Brunet Sr.; sons, Brent, Brad and wife, Amanda, and Brian Brunet and wife, Erica; daughters, Tessie Brunet and D.J. Theriot, and Mandy Brunet and Dustin Pitre; brothers, Tim, Dan, David and Peter Brunet; sisters, Carolyn Liner, JoAnna Brunet, Sandy Brunet, Susan Molaison, and Peggy Brunet; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Adalene Scott Brunet; and son, Chad Brunet. He was a loving father and "Pe Paw," who loved fishing and his swamp pop music. His favorite quotes were "And how," "Buck-A-Roo" and "What the what." In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samart Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
