Donald Wayne Burson, 77, a native of Atlanta, Texas, and resident of Houma, 
died at 9:18 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at First Baptist 
Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Neugent Burson of Houma; sons, Dwayne Burson, 
Darrin S. Burson and wife, Trisha, David N. Davis, and Douglas M. Davis and 
wife, Nancy, all of Houma; daughters, Donna Garcia and Ahmy Davis Powell of 
Tampa, Fla.; and grandchildren, Dylan Garcia, Schae Burson, Brandon Burson, 
Kayla Davis, Kylan Davis, Natalie Frederick and husband, Barry, Nikki Miller 
and Mark Guidry Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarice Edwin and Norma King Burson; 
son, George A. Davis; and brother, Billy Bob Burson.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Houma and a member of the Sugarland 
Country Club. He retired from Texaco as a supervisor after 37 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the First 
Baptist Church Building Fund.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
