Minta C. Collins, 92, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
passed away Monday, April 15, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will 
be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Golden 
Meadow.

She is survived by her son, Peter R. Collins and wife, Cheryl; daughters, 
Simone Dupierre, Veronica (C.J.) Gisclair, Rosanna C. Aucoin, Celena 
(Ted)Rousse, and Lilly (Ronald) Riera; brother, Luke Cheramie; 16 
grandchildren; and 13 great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie J. Collins; parents, Hugh and 
Lima Cheramie; son, Larry Collins; and sisters, Oralee Terrebonne and Ella 
Deramie.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
