Gerald Joseph Constrantiche, 70, formerly of Houma and a resident of Rockford, 
Ill., was born February 13, 1943, and passed away Friday, April 26th, 2013, in 
Rockford, Ill., after suffering a stroke and metastatic cancer.

He will be cremated, per his wishes, and will be laid to rest in Houma at a 
later date.

He is survived by Zelina Brewer and her husband, Paul, Dr. Shayne Pepper and 
wife, Nancy, Aline Duke, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is also 
survived by his special friend, Helen Domingues.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Constrantiche and Amy Deroche 
Constrantiche; sisters, Yvonne Thibodaux, Josephine Breaux, Eula Mae Vargas, 
and his twin Geraldine Leonard; and four brothers and one sister who died as 
infants. 

Gerald was an avid fisherman, card player and friend to many.
He was a former employee of Shady Acres Senior Center, where, after his 
retirement, he spent many days visiting with friends he made there.

Sunset Funeral Home in Machesney Park, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
