Peggy August Davis, 61, a native of Belle Rose, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

A memorial service will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at St. James United Methodist 
Church in Belle Rose. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time 
Saturday at Greater Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Donaldsonville. Funeral 
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in St. James Cemetery in Belle Rose.

She is survived by her mother, Hilda Brown August of Belle Rose; daughters, 
Adrienne (James) Davis LeBlanc of Belle Rose, and Andrea Davis (Derick Sr.) 
Dents of Baton Rouge; sister, Barbara August Jones of Bertrandville; brothers, 
Louis August Jr., the Rev. Phillip August Sr. of Donaldsonville, Eric (Alice) 
August of St. James, Rudy (Dannette) August Sr. and Randy (Joyce) August Sr. of 
Belle Rose.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis "Papa" August; and maternal and 
paternal grandparents.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
