Raymond Joseph Domangue, a native and resident of Chauvin, was born May 27, 
1929, and passed away at 9:12 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, and is now with our 
Lord.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and 
from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nora Theresa White Domangue: daughters, 
Norma (Alley) LeBoeuf, Chris (John) Desormeaux Eschete, Susan (James) Duncan 
and Pamela (Wayne) Blanchard; sons, Sherwin (Tara) Domangue and Sherwood 
(Kemala) Domangue; daughter-in-law, Annie (Ray) Theriot Domangue Guidroz; 
grandchildren, William (Tracy) LeBoeuf, Ryan (Skye) LeBoeuf, Dawn (Corey) 
Desormeaux Roberts, Toni (Andre) Desormeaux Porretto, Casey (Francie Marie) 
Desormeaux, Rindy (Jason Myers) Billiot, P. J. (Angel Authement) Domangue, 
Brooks (Celeste Champagne) Domangue, Leah (T. J. Blanchard) Domangue, Tyler 
(Marcela Iniguez) Blanchard, Curtis (Traci) Domangue, Jayce Domangue, Cody 
Domangue, Donovan (Jeanne Morgan Gernon) Domangue, Austin Domangue, Theresa 
Domangue, Kyle Trosclair and Joshua Domangue; great-grandchildren, Brooke 
LeBoeuf, Logan LeBoeuf, Dawson LeBoeuf, Lani LeBoeuf, Cade LeBoeuf, Tonya 
(Taylor Verrett Sr.) Roberts, Julie Roberts, Judd Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Jules 
Collins Desormeaux, Emma Claire Porretto, Fallon Evans, Landon Evans, Macie 
Domangue, Maddix Domangue, Carsyn Henry, Jaida Domangue and Kaiya Domangue; 
great-great-grandchildren, Madison Verrett, Taylor Verrett Jr., Jaidyn Roberts 
and Jourdyn Roberts; and brothers, Clyde, Gary Sr., Tores Jr., René and Terry.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Westley and his twin Domangue; son-in-
law, Jules Desormeaux; parents, Tores Sr. and Mary Mae Lirette Domangue; and 
brothers, Ernest, Jerry Sr., Elgin and Israel.

He was a fisherman and loved having get-togethers with his large family. His 
hobby was planting zinnias. That was his passion.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
