Jimmy Paul Fanguy, 58, a native of Morgan City, and resident of Dulac, died 
Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at 
the funeral home, 

with burial in Holy Family Cemetery in Dulac.

He is survived by his wife, May Verdin; mother, Edna Francis Fanguy; sons, 
James, Derrick and Elliot Fanguy; daughters, Anna Fanguy, Christine Verdin and 
Jamie Fanguy; brothers, Howard Jr., Gilbert, Arnold, Wilson, Leroy, Allen Jr., 
Lucius and McKinley Fanguy; sisters, Elta Therien, Edith Martin, Angelene 
Fanguy, Martha Jean Rita Ray, Mary Ann Collins and Helen Lajaunie; and two 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard J. Fanguy Sr.; son, Jimmy P. 
Ledet; brothers, Wallace Sr., Roland and Allen Fanguy Sr.; sisters, Diana 
Boudreaux and Lisa Fanguy; and his first wife, Frances Ledet.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
