Thresa Fields, 77, a native of Columbia, Miss., and resident of Thibodaux, 
passed away Monday, April 8, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Friday at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will 
be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with 

burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Sue) Fields, Elliott (Pam) Fields, Nelson 
"Shawn" (Juli) Fields and Shane Fields; daughters, Aleta Ruggiero, Rhonda (Kane 
Clement) Fields, Flavia (Ray) Marcel, and Roberta (Jerome) Mosier; sisters, 
Beatrice Hicks, Sadie Dement, Billie Jean Green and Betty Barry; 19 
grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Smokey" Fields; parents, 
Nelson and Cecil Forbes; son-in-law, Joseph Ruggiero; daughter-in-law, Rita 
Fields; brother, Robert Forbes; and granddaughters, Kathy Fields and Megan 
Fields.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
