Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Anna Gillaspie; son, Wayne Gillaspie and wife, Lyla, of Houston, Texas; brother, Clifton Gillaspie, of Bossier City; stepson, William "Dod" James, of Houma; three grandchildren, Lance, Douglas and Farrah Gillaspie; three great-grandchildren, Travis, Maddison and Jayden Gillaspie, of Bandera, Texas; ex-wife and close family friend, Jerie Gillaspie; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Farrell Gillaspie, of Houma; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Larkin Gillaspie; brothers, Joel, Edgar, John and Giles Gillaspie of Magnolia, Ark.; and sister, Vera Hassion, of West Monroe. He retired from Exxon-Mobile after 33 years of service and retired from ARCO after 10 years of service. He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Houma. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
