Hawkins, 73, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, April 6, 2013. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Paul Baptist Church cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by her son, Raymond J. (Maxine) Hawkins Jr.; brothers, Earl Griffin Sr., the Rev. Lionel (Irma) Griffin, Larry Folse, Alexander Griffin, Eugene Willis and Bernard Griffin; sisters, Maxine (Elton) Smith, Joyce Griffin, Marlene Barrio and Sarah (Kernan) Hollie; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Hawkins Sr.; parents, Freddie Griffin Sr. and Edna Adams Griffin; son, Anthony Hawkins; daughter, Tammy Hawkins Tolbert; brother, Freddie Griffin Jr.; and sister, Vercee Lee Smith. Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
