Gene P. Hebert Sr., 77, a native and resident of Houma, died Monday, April 1, 
2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 
11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue, 

with burial in St. Louis Catholic Church cemetery in Bayou Blue.

He is survived by his wife, Augustine Carmouche Hebert; sons, Kevin P. Hebert 
Sr. and Gene P. Hebert Jr.; daughter, Colleen Ann Hebert Arceneaux; brothers, 
Curtis Hebert, Lionel Hebert and Waybrun Hebert Jr.; seven grandchildren; and 
three great-grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Webb J. Hebert Sr. and Agnes Marie 
Babin; brothers, Gus and Abren Hebert; and sisters, Eula Mae Hebert Schellang, 
Lynette Hebert Liner and Bonnie Hebert Thibodaux.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
