Ella Johns, 82, of Houma and formerly of Winnsboro, was born March 17, 1931, in 
Liddieville, and died Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Gill First 
National Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at 
the funeral home, 

with burial in Ogden Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward A. Johns; son, Anthony 
Johns; daughter, Melanie S. (Kerry Bergeron) Johns; brother, John Powell; two 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Van Powell and Doris Hazel Williams 
Powell; son, Andre Johns; and sister, Mary Fussell.

Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro is in charge of arrangements.
