JONES, ARA 

Ara B. Jones, 92, a native of Patterson and resident of Morgan City, died 
Monday, April 15, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time today at Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church in Morgan City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the church, 

with burial in Morgan City Mausoleum.

She is survived by her sons, Herbert, Anthony and Conley Jones; daughters, Ara 
Jones Ramagos, Norma Jones Skinner and Almetra Jones Franklin; sister, Julia 
Gary; 16 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom P. and Ara Bridget Brown; her 
husband; sisters, Sarah Dyer, Maggie Howard and Doris Sanford; and brother, 
Plato Brown.

Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
