Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until funeral time Monday at Hixson Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rob Walls officiating. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Hunt officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, She is survived by her son, Charley Matherne Jr. and wife, Christina, of DeQuincy; daughter, Patricia Labit and husband, Larry, of Etowah, Tenn.; brothers, Norman, James, Ronnie and Berkman Dufrene; sister, Beverly Orgeron and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Charley Matherne III, Tiffany Duhon, Johnathan Matherne, Joey Labit, Nicholas Labit, Joshua Labit, Cheri Molaison, Jennifer Hebert, and Chad Hebert; and three great-grandchildren. Rita was a member of First Baptist Church in DeQuincy. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, and her family was the most important part of her life. Hixson Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy is in charge of arrangements. ======================
