Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his parents, David and Beulah Champagne McCormick; grandmother, Anne Schmitz McCormick of Dularge; brother, David McCormick II and wife, Becky of Bourg; sister, Mary "Katie" Castle and husband, Timothy, of Houma; and nieces and nephews, Alora McCormick, David McCormick III, Jade McCormick, Brittany McCormick, Erin McCormick, Byron Miller Jr., Bryan Miller and Kiana Castle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Westley and Beulah Champagne; and paternal grandfather, William Joseph McCormick. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He loved being with his family. He loved movies, music and children. He also was a graduate of the School for Exceptional Children. He touched the hearts of all who knew him. One could learn so much about love and life just by being in his presence. He will live on forever in our hearts. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
