William "Bill" John Null Sr., 65, a native of Houma, and resident of Bourg, 
died at his home on Thursday, April 11, 2013, after a courageous battle with 
Merkel Cell Carcinoma. 

He was born August 28, 1947.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of the 
Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in 
Houma.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 37 years, Susie Domangue 
Null; daughter, Erica Null Pellegrin and husband, Blaise; son, William "Billy" 
Null Jr. and wife, Amber Cheramie Null; grandchild, Ellie Olivia Null; sisters, 
Mary Margaret "Peggy" Null Rhodes and husband, Michael, Elizabeth "Liz" Null 
Savoie and husband, Ralph, Amanda Null, and Nancy Null Leabo and husband, 
Chris; brother, Marcel Joseph "Joe" Null and wife, Laurie; and numerous nieces 
and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn Duthu Null and William Elmer 
Null.

Bill served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired Captain and Chief of 
Detectives with the Houma Police Department. 
He was a graduate of the FBI Academy, and a retired officer and instructor for 
the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole.

He was a beloved husband, father, and brother and his family will miss him 
beyond words. He enjoyed life, people, and being with his family.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, Dr. Russell Henry, Dr. Chris 
Berry, Dr. Robert Gamble and Dr. Jeffery Long along with the incredible staff 
at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC.

In lieu of flowers, Bill expressed that memorial donations be made in his name 
to Mercel Cell Research to help fight this rare and aggressive cancer, 
University of Washington MCC Research, Paul Nghiem MD, Phd, University of 
Washington, Dermatology, 850 Republican Street, Brotman Building- Room 242. Box 
358050, Seattle, Wash., 98109.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
