Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1304.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Dorothy Welch Pellegrin, 81, a native of Sabine Pass, Texas, and resident of Chauvin, died peacefully Saturday, April 13, 2013. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jessie Pellegrin; children, Debbie Hubbard and husband Neal, Jay Pellegrin and wife, Alisha, and Jesslyn Ledet and husband, Craig; grandchildren, Aimee Toups, Summer Pellegrin, Christian Ledet, Rebecca Ledet, and Chloe Pellegrin; great-grandchildren, Jamie Hubbard and Eli Pellegrin; sister, Larrie Elms; and brother, Tommy Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Hazel Welch; and sister, Margie Lee. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the United Veterans League. A loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother, Dorothy touched many lives during her time here on Earth. Her legacy will be the lessons in selflessness and compassion she taught by how she lived her life and treated others. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
