Alida Rose McNamara Roth, 87, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died 
peacefully at her home, Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday 
at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann Foret and husband, Brooks Foret, and 
Alida Chatham and husband, Gerry Chatham, of Houston, Texas; sons, Ben Roth III 
and wife, Wen, Tommy Roth and wife, Kim, of Houston, Texas, Gene Roth, Richard 
Roth and wife, Alice, and Mark Roth of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren, Benton, 
Ryan and Lindsay Foret, Katie Weller, Ben and Matthew Chatham, Andrew and Henry 
Roth, Maggie, Philip and Brendan Roth, Adam, Patrick, Madeline and Paul Roth; 
and five great-grandchildren, Sydney and Thomas Foret, Olivia and William 
Foret, and Brooklyn Rose Chatham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Roth Jr.; parents, Pauline 
Dansereau and John James McNamara; brothers, James, Henry, Thomas, Edward, 
Daniel and John Patrick McNamara; and sister, Katheryn Torres.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to her caregivers: Jennie, Verda, 
Peggy, Beverly, Ruby and Shantel.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
