Calvin Rutledge, 90, a native of Grand Caillou, and resident of Houma, died, 
Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Houma, and 
from 11 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church. Funeral 
services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Union Benevolent Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Rynell (Robin) and Jerry Rutledge; daughters, 
Davene Rutledge and Beldina Williams; sisters, Dorothy (St. Clair Jr.) Davis 
and Muriel Wallace; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Thomas Rutledge; parents, Van 
Sr. and Bertha Gaino Rutledge; son, Phillip Rutledge; daughters, Dorothy Smith 
and Melvina Williams; brother, Van Rutedge Jr.; and sisters, Hester Mae 
Rutledge and Louise Smith.

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
